FilterBoxx R&D Pilot Plants are factory assembled ceramic membrane filtration systems designed to be trucked to a client’s plant operations site for ease of installation and start up.
Once a solution to a client’s water/oil process problem has been determined through FilterBoxx’s in-house lab testing and analysis, one of the pilot plants is customized to the client’s application and trucked to site. The pilot will be a scale version of a full scale operation. Pilots typically operate 24 hours per day for duration of 1-6 months to simulate actual operations.
All data including flows, temperatures, power consumption and outlet quality are logged into on board computers. The data is analyzed and a report issued to determine the feasibility of a full scale plant.
The system is designed for on-site pilot testing with the following general objectives:
- Investigating the optimum ceramic membrane flux for the specific client water treatment application.
- Assessing the cleaning frequency and duration with respect to the membrane performance and site specific membrane fouling tendency.
- Identifying Post or Pre-treatment requirements if needed.
